TAKE ACTION

“Young people always ask me how they can get involved or ‘do what I did,’ and all I can think to say is simply go for it,”

-Alec Loorz

"Through the use of hashtags, social media serves as a powerful tool for people and movements to share their stories, reaching new audiences across the globe. The list of campaigns gets longer each day as more people use social media to raise awareness and promote solidarity around a movement."

About

WOKE is a youth led organization dedicated to providing fact-based information to our audience. The original goal we had in mind was to create a source of unbias media. However, after much consideration we came to find that there really is no such thing as “unbias” in today’s social climate. Personal beliefs of the writer, editor, and even the audience all play a part in the bias that is created. Because of this, WOKE will focus instead on giving the people enough information to form their own conclusions. We also aim to provide reliable and safe resources for all.
